Text over image, save, upload

I have developed an application that updates a mysql database. Each entry in
a table in this database is a page for a website. What i need to do is to
allow the user to add a tab page and place the title and allocate a space
for the body into the table (i have already done this). What i need to do at
the same time is take an image and place some text over it then save it to
an ftp server. All that said basically the only thing i need to do is to
take the title of the new page that the user provides and place it on an
image then upload it to a ftp site. Any ideas would be helpful! Thanks in
