passing data from MDI child in .NET

noob alert...

I have an application using c# that uses MDI. On some of the child windows,
I need to open a dialog that will communicate back with the MDI child. I
did not see any clear way to accomplich that in the documentation. Can
anyone point me toward an example or better documentation on how to do this,
please.

Thanks.

Hi Tim,

You could use either of these ways:

Use the child's MDIParent property to get the parent form. Cast it to the
MDI parent type. Then set/use the properties of the parent.

Or, you could use a delegate to pass information from the child to some
method in the parent.
