Repeater Loop problem

Hi,

I have a Repeater Control on my page.Every row includes :
Label:
<td>
<asp:Label id="lbl" Runat="server" Text='<%#
DataBinder.Eval(Container.DataItem, "mssgid") %>' >
</asp:Label>
</td>

and CheckBox:

<td>
<asp:CheckBox id="cb" Runat="server" >
</asp:CheckBox>
</td>

On the WebForm I have a Button and OnClick_Button looks like:

foreach(Repeater item in MyRepeater.Items)
{
CheckBox cb = item.FindControl("cb") as CheckBox;
Label lbl = item.FindControl("lbl") as Label;
if(cb.Checked=true)
{
Label1.Text=Label1.Text+lbl.Text
}
}

The above code doesn't work at all. I don't know what could be the mistake.
Could you help here?
