How to move objects between collections?

Hello!

Suppose, I want to move an object from one collection to another. How
this task could be implemented in C#?
For example, I've got an arraylists BookShelf1 and BookShelf2. And a
book Book1 belongs to BookShelf1. I want to place it on BookShelf2.
The problem is that if transaction fails, there may be two books Book1
or the book could be lost...
