HelpProvider generates :"Un unhandled exception of type System.NullReferenceException occurred insystem.windows.forms.dll"???

hi everybody,
I need to clear something out,
does anybody have ever encountered such an exception until now :
"Un unhandled exception of type System.NullReferenceException occurred in
system.windows.forms.dll
Additional information: Object reference not set to an instance of an
object."

I receive this exception when I use HelpProvider and play a little with the
question mark upon different controls.
I'm using Framework 1.0, and I'm hopping this would be recognized MS bug,
and resolved in 1.1 or 2.0.

if anyone could point me an article about this kind of misbehavior, is it
a bug or not, if it's a bug, has it been solved yet, or it will be?
any response would be a great help for me.

thanks in advance!!!

Hi Crishtiank,

Maybe you could post the code....it seems like you are using an
uninitialized reference.

ok, the code is located at
http://msdn.microsoft.com/library/de...classtopic.asp

so the exception occurs running the demo code from msdn.

What I was interested in, is if anyone else have encountered the same
exception before.

Hi,

For me the code is working perfectly fine Cristiank. Maybe your copy-pasted
