Look for books by the Microsoft press on C# and WRox Press (the Fastrack
series) and books by O'Reilly

Two books that I've used, both quite good... Perhaps a little rough if C# is
your first language, but if you've programmed in C++, VB6 or Java, they'll
be fine

C# Unleashed - Sams
http://www.amazon.co.uk/exec/obidos/...300673-8712461

Programming C# Third Edition - O'Reilly
http://www.amazon.co.uk/exec/obidos/...300673-8712461

Cheers,

Luke

I'm a big fan of WROX, especially the Programmer's Reference titles.
When it comes to instructional content the Deitel & Deitel father and
son textbook publishing team have no equal.

Deitel & Deitel: C# A Programmer's Introduction

Grant Palmer, WROX: C# Programmer's Reference

The best book in my opinion (I might be biased since the author is a friend
of mine) is
Juval Lowy's "Programming .NET Components"
http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/tg...books&n=507846

Its a little bit steep, but will give you depth across the board.

I agree this is an very good book for those looking to get past the
initial learning of C# and more importantly into the framework.
His chapters on Asynch calls and remoting are very clear and easy to
understand.
good work Juval!!!
