Date problems (UK)

How can I get asp.net to display UK dates in a UK format consistently?

If I execute a local development version of my page which accesses a SQL
table the date gets displayed in UK format.

If I transfer the page to the server and access it from my computer the date
gets displayed in a US format!

So where is the problem?

My computer and the server are both configured to a UK date, and the SQL
server is correctly storing the date in a UK format.

Cheers
Rich.
