update desktop background

Hi

I'm experiencing a weird problem updating the desktop background. I'm using
the code from
http://www.devhood.com/messages/mess...hread_id=70216 (at the
bottom), which works just fine, but there are a few exceptions:

Basically I'm overwriting the desktop background bitmap with a new one. Now
if the user logs out and logs in again, the new bitmap is loaded. If the
user does not log out, the old bitmap stays. So I want to trigger a desktop
bitmap refresh which I do using the code mentioned above. Now if I execute
that code from a standalone app that the user triggers, the refresh is made.
However, if just after writing the new bitmap I trigger the same update
code, the old image is still there, even though on the harddisk, the bitmap
is the most recent one.

Is there a way around this update delay?

Regards
Stephan
