Sound Card

Hi all,
I want to write a simple application that captures the output of the sound
card, just like what a program like TotalRecorder does.
Any pointers on how to go about this will really be appreciated.
Thanks

Have a look at the DirectSound API or maybe the nBass library which does
also cost nothing for noncommercial use.
