Figure out whether DirectX is installed or not

Hallo,

i am writing a C# application using dotnet.
My problem is: The application has to figure out whether DirectX is
installed or not.
Can anybody tell me how to do this?

check for registry key

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\DirectX

To get version read "Version" string in the same location
