A Query Related to Crystal Reports with DataSet

Hello,
I was trying to create Crystal Report using a DataSet (notfilled with DataBase entries). DataSet contains some Tables. Butwhen I want to generate a Crystal report it doesn't showanything. I want to ask that is it necessary to have a ADO.netDataset (with Database entries in it) for the Crystal reports?or Do we generate reports with non-database Data.

//Code i was Trying
DataSet ds = new DataSet();
//Fill dataSet with different tables;

CrystalReport1 cr1 = new CrystalReport();
cr1.SetDataSource(ds); //Set DataSet as Crystal ReportDataSource

crystalReportViewer1.ReportSource = cr1;

//End of Code

Is it enough or Am I missing something else???
