Off topic question

I am wondering why it takes an absurd amount of time for a message to post on here, and also why the most recently answered topics aren't automatically reposted at the top. I keep seeing my message go down and down until I can't see it, and then the chances of it being seen TO BE answered are very low. Just wondering

Hi,

Mine are posted on a timely manner, regarding to the position it depend of
how many new threads are created , if you reply to a post that exist
already it will be posted below the first post, if new post are posted your
thread will go down.

Also notice that this particular group has a lot of traffic.
Now I have a question though, it seems that the server keeps the originator
date/time can this be changed? almost everyday somebody create a thread with
a date in the future this could become a bad practice.
pd:
I posted this one 2 hours ahead of time, just to see what happens :)

Cheers,

Hi,

It took less than 3 minute to be accesible. but again it depend of the
server load .

The bad thing is the time it keeps the poster time it would be MUCH safer
if it change it to the server localtime.

Cheers,

Jordan,

To get updated messages, select the newsgroup root and , click synchronize,
with "New Messages" option turned on. It gets messages fast.

A tactic I use is to put a silly amount of "e"s in my name, then I can spot
my posts easily. When a post is replied to it doesn't get put to the top,
but if you are using outlook express then it appears as bold if it's had a
new reply that you haven't read.
