ListBox horizontal scrolling problem

I have a C# ListBox object to which I have added a scroll bar using
properties HorizontalExtent and HorizontalScrollbar. The list box scrolls as
desired. I want to know when the user has scrolled the list box, and I
especially want to know what the current position is when scrolling is
complete.

I have tried overriding WndProc and trapping WM_HSCROLL. This will provide
the information I need if the user has dragged the slider (i.e. nScrollCode
is SB_THUMBPOSITION or SB_THUMBTRACK), but in all the other cases I am
unable to get the value without using unmanaged code and calling User32dll
function GetScrollInfo. However, this function requires a HWND parameter
which appears always to be null when WndProc gets called. I have verified
this with SPY++.

Can someone please tell me definitively:
1) Is it possible to get the information I want?
2) If so, how???

Thank you in advance
