Deploying Windows Service on XP with C#

I have been charged with bottstrapping myself on C# and Windows services at the same time. I have created a Windows Service not a WebService and I am trying to deploy it. I followed the instructions given in the help with creating a project & process installer in the project and then creating a setup project. I am able to link them and build the setup. However, I am unsure how to get the setup project to create the service in the registry and then get the services dialog to recognize it. Right now nothing is put in the registry from the setup, however it copies the files over and all those basic setup functions

What do I need to do special for a service installation?
