Smart Device Application template

Hello

The Smart Device Application template doesn't show up in the New Project
dialog of Visual Studio 2003 .NET.

I installed my software in this order:
1. Microsoft ActiveSync 3.7.1
2 eMbedded Visual C++ 4.0 and Service Pack 3
3 Visual Studio .NET 2003
4 SmartPhone 2003 SDK

This order is exactly as stated in this document from microsoft:
http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/d...displaylang=en

I haven't got a complete version of Visual Studio, I only got Visual Studio
with C#

I've tryed this on XP Pro and Win2k3 without any luck.

Any clues to why I don't get the Smart Device Application template will be
greatly appreciated!

Jeff

Hi jeff

If you have C# standard edition you cannot develop for PPC, take a look at
this table

http://msdn.microsoft.com/vcsharp/ho.../choosing.aspx

It show you that "Build device-based applications and solutions. " is not
available in the standard version :(

Sorry.
