If the built-in firewall isn't doing enough for you, you might consider a
hardware solution. I switched my home PC from Zone Alarm to using one of
those home internet routers. This way I have firewall protection and I am
not running any hokey firewall software on my machine.

It turns out that Stupid Sygate firewall was the problem. I am using
Windows 2003 and found sygate to be the only one that supports it...Anyways please
