I would like to add that there is nothing special about the AssemblyInfo
file. It is merely a convention used by VS.NET but the compiler itself does
not recognize this in any special way.

The asswmblyinfo.cs holds information required for versioning the
assembly. Normally you will provide your public key generated by the sn.exe
utility and also a flag to delay sign or not. There is an MSDN article
about this or a good reference will be WROX Advanced C# book.
