Wierd Text box behavior

I have three identical text boxes on a form.
After a users add info to each they tabg out and go to the next control.
If they tab back to the first 2 text boxes, the cursor goes to the end of
the typed text.
If they tab back to the third text box, all of the text is highlighted in
blue.
The only difference in the third text box is that there is a leave event
associated with it.

My question is how can I get the text in the first two textboxes to be
highlighted like the third one?
And, why does it do that if no special properties are set
