News app

Hello,

I would like to write a newsgroup application, something like Outlook Express, but without the support for emails. Any hint (URL, books, etc.) on how to do it?

Thanks.
Mike

Hello Mike,

You can start by reading an RFC for the NNTP protocol.

Thanks, very helpful. I also took the advice of reading the RFC and also found another article. I was able to connect to a NNTP server, but there is still a long way to go before l will be able to define my sample as a "real" application :-)
