Learning .Net without Visual Studio

Hello,

I am trying to learn .Net but I can't afford Visual Studio what's the best
way to learn .Net without Visual Studio, all the books, website and
tutorials use VS.

What resources are available for someone who wants to get into .Net without
using VS.

Thanks
