Hello,
I wrote a Web Service (using C# and Visual Studio .NET 2003) which included
a method that retrieves a data and returns it as a DataSet. I used the
localhost as my server.
In addition, I built a Windows Application client with a DataGrid and used
the Web Service method to asigne the DataSet to the DataGrid’s DataSource
property, and the table name to the DataGrid’s DataMember property. As a
result, the data was displayed in the DataGrid. It was OK.
Now, if the client can use a Web Service, there is no reason why a server
can not use the same Web Service. So, I have duplicated the client technic
which I had used – to another server (in localhost). The compilation was OK.
Unfortunately, when I run the server with an Internet Explorer 6 browser,
the DataGrid control didn’t show at all. The rest of my controls showed OK.
Can anybody help me on the matter?
Thanks,
David
