To develop application on .Net with the server Unix

I am planning to develop my application using C#.Net and web enquires in
ASP.Net, but the customer insists to use Unix/Oracle as the server.
Under J2EE environment, the EJBs can be fully shared. Under .Net, what
should I do? Don't tell me to use .Net on client side and J2EE for web
enquiry development. If so, why would I choose .Net at all?

with apache youcould use mono (http://www.go-mono.com/) (a free
cross-platform .net framework replacement)

Hi Thomas,

Thanks for your feedback.

I am scared of the 'new technologies'. Mono is too new for me.

I am just thinking why Microsoft is not doing that?

Have you got any other suggestion?
