how to write (override/update) exif tags

hello,

what i would like to do is "stamping" my images.
after uploading the images from the digital camera it would be
usefull to fill out the following exif tags:
- Title
- Subject
- Category
- Keywords
but not image by image like some tools allow.
i would like to "stamp" all the pictures in a folder.

i know how to read exif tags.
does anyone has a code sniped of writing or updating exif tags?

cheers,
erik
