Screen colours

Striking a balance between a bag of horrible looking sweets, and how a
graphic artist might like his screens to look like, is one hell of a job. So
I created a set of methods that would change ALL colours in ALL classes
centrally and consistently. This would allow me to mess about until I'd got
it right. All went well until Visual C# IDE decided to chuck out all my
colour-code-method-calls and replace them by code that I could not centrally
manage. Visual C# IDE even changed the options in the dialog boxes where you
say what you want in the controls. Does anyone have experience, or ideas,
concerning this issue? Many thanks. PS I did get it right.

Patrick.
