Com Interoperability and Variants

We have some legacy VB 6.0 code that we have to call. I
am looking into COM Interoperability. I can instanciate
the Runtime Callable Wrapper version of the dll. When I
try to call a method, I get: Class Factory cannot return
requested class.

Here is VB function definition:

Public Function GetStateCodes() As Variant

My attempt to access it (just get an error message):

// Create an instance of the RCW Class
ElecPubRCW.DataClass RCW = new ElecPubRCW.DataClass();

object StateCodes = RCW.GetStateCodes();

I understand that there are some issues with variants, but
I haven't been able to locate any good doucmentaion on
MSDN or C#Help.

I come from a Java background, so any help would be
appreciated...

Thanks,

kurt...
