Anyone -- output file macros don't insert?

P: n/a
Anyone else have this problem?

(cpp project)
Properties, linker, general, output file, edit

Show macros, select any and click click insert -- no action.

Anyone else see this?

Hi Bret,

Thanks for posting in the community.

From your description, I understand that you cannot insert the selected
macro in the VS.NET project Properties/Linker/General/Output file/<edit>
Output File dialog.

I test this function in my VS.NET 2003 with a C++ project, it inserts the
macro as expected.

So would you please tell me which version of the VS.NET you are using has
this problem?
Thanks!

I have 7.1.3088.

But wouldn't you know it, now it works. (I've since restarted my box.)

I guarantee that this wasn't working before --

Hi Bret,

Thanks for your quickly response!

I am delight to know it works for you now, hope I have done some magic to
your VS.NET IDE ;-)

However, the VS.NET IDE really has some unknown and unexpected errors
sometime.
Thank you for your feedback, and we are looking at continual improvement on
our products, and it's this kind of feedback that let's us know what things
the customer care and concerns about.
