Enter Data in the AddNew Row

I have a datagrid with 2 columns, Column 1 is the primary key

How can I allow the user to enter data in the AddNew row, but don't allow them to edit the existing value in column 1

Thank you

Are you talking about the AddNew row of a datagrid? You should be able to create a tablestyle and a columnstyle to make that row readonly to the user. Search GotDotNet in the C# board and include "Andrew" in your search. I am pretty sure I have posted a sample on how to do this. It may be in VB, but it should be easy to understand and translate
