Creating a simple software license.

P: n/a

I'm developing an application, which is free for non-commercial use but I
would like to be able to show something to the paid users that the software
belong to them. What is the easiest way for me to do this? I'm thinking a
simple hash of the user's name and company name will result to the hash.
When they match I can simply display on the About box that this software is
registered to such and such.

Any suggestions?

You could use the GNU license.
