IOCompletionCallback in CE?

Hi,

we're working on a project that runs under WindowsCE.
To communicate with the device from a standard Desktop, we are using the
serial port from the desktop. We are using a SerialStream class that has
worked very well in other windows projects that use the comm port. The
problem is with Windows CE. We are getting a compile time error stating
that IOCompletionCallback is not available in Windows CE. (probaly because
its in System.threading?) Is there an equivalant that could give me the
same information (amount of bytes sent, error messages ect) in Windows CE?
Is there some kind of workAround? We have been looking for days now and cant
figure what to do about this.

As we're already over our delivery deadline, any help would be greatly
appreciated.

regards,

Marco
