Bizzare Mouse Movements

Hi all!!

I'm just curious if you guys experienced your mouse cursor moving by itself,
without touching anything on your mouse-- I'm experiencing it right now
whenever I'm connected to the internet.

Is this an indication that I'm infected with a virus or my pc is being
hacked?

I have Norton Firewall and Norton Antivirus which is always up-to-date.

Please help!

Thanks!

Have experienced this with MS Intellimouse Optical where it will sometimes
"Shudder" quickly in one spot but stops after you move it.

Sure, a few times, 5-10 during my lifetime. The cursor moving in a single
direction as if my mouse movement never registered that I stopped, and it
eventually hits the border of the screen and stops. I blame the mouse or
the mouse driver for this, but since it's so rare I don't really mind. If
the mouse cursor moved around with any kind of purpose I would be highly
suspicious.
