learning C#

When I was learning Java I found a book that explained Java the syntax and
other information about Java, BUT while is was explaining everything about
java it also had examples. At the end the examples actually created an
actual working program. Is there a book like that for C#, that explains C#,
syntax etc. and have examples, etc. but has an actual program at the end of
the book you created while doing the examples?

thx

I don't know of a book like you described, but I used a previous edition of
the book below and found it to be very good for beginners.
Microsoft Visual C# .NET Step by Step--Version 2003
http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/tg...books&n=507846

(I can't seem to do book searches on Microsoft Web site anymore; they
changed the Web site)

Eric Gunnerson's book is very good. When I read it first time, I found
myself asking questions as I was reading, and he answered them in the next
few paragraphs. Very *clear and will get you going.
