Toolbox missing my UserControl

Hi Everyone,

(using VS2003)

So here is my problem... I have a class that inherits from the Button
control have compiled the project with all references and it does not
appear in the Toolbox. The other controls appear just fine.

I searched this topic and found a lot of responses but everyone has a
different solution to the problem.

The way that I got this to work is to right click on the toolbox and
<Add/Remove Items...> and choose the executable in question.

Now I see the control but I ALSO see duplicates of the usercontrols
that have already existed. The differences seem to be in the icons.

Everything works. But what have I done? I need to understand why it
adds the control and other times it doesn't... why do i have two
instances of the same control (exact same code) but different icons on
the toolbar... what is the LOGIC behind this?

(also... have you guys experienced the disappearing UC? this happens
to me a lot in the vs2003 version, there is vs2002 fix for this but
not for 2003... I have stopped dropping UCs from the toolbox and just
adding them programmatically to avoid this mess - these little annoy
me to death and its easy to loose confidence in the product)
Thank you for your time,

cheers to you all, 2004 style :)
