Update MySQL with C# using OleDb

does anyone know how to update a mysql database using C# or any other
language for that matter. I keep getting the following error when I try to
update:
" Dynamic SQL generation is not supported against a SelectCommand that does
not return any base table information."

your help would be greatly appreciated.
