editing data in datagrid

Please, I want to edit data's that is shown in datagrid.In
datagrid property builder->columns I
add 'edit,update,cancel' button column, but when I
press 'edit', when my .aspx application is started in
browser, nothing happens. What do I need to do when I
press edit, that update and cancel buttons show, and after
that to make updates in my database?
Thank you
