Socket.Connect() Timeout, please help

I was wondering if there is a way to adjust the timeout period when doing
Socket.Connect()
I have been looking at the docs, found nothing

If the TCPClient Class can do what you're looking for, it has a
ReceiveTimeout and a SendTimeout property.

Jacob,

What I'm looking for is a Connect() timeout , not send or receive.
I guess I could achieve that using Asynchronous BeginConnect and EndConnect.
Thanks anyway for your reply.
