How to writes classes or functions with optinal parameters in c# ot vb.net?

In C# you are going to have to Overload, in VB.NET
Sum SomeSub(Optional ByVal myName as String = "Default")

However, many consider optional params to be bad form and recommend
overloading instead (present company included)
