/obj/myAppName.pdb DataBase file is corrupted

Jax
I keep getting wierd compiler errors telling me my
database is corrupted, it's always talking about the one
in the obj directory (appName.pdb).
All i do to fix this is go to my debug directory copy the
pdb in there and paste that into the obj directory.
It works fine but it happens again every so often.
Does anyone have even the smallest clue as to why this is
occuring?
And am I doing the right thing to fix it? I'm not
comfortable with doing this quick fix as it doesn't feel
like i'm doing anything to stop the real problem.

Does it matter that i'm using Visual Studio 2002 standard
and my project is getting quite big? Have microsoft
introduced something to suggest I should upgrade to
professional once the application is past a certain size?
I cant think of anything else it could be, but saying that
I dont know much :).

I'd be very grateful for any assistance on this matter.
