event log entries not being written

I've written a class to manipulate a custom event log.
Whilst writing it, on two occasions, entries stopped being
written to the log and I had to reboot to get the class to
write again.

I'm hoping that this was because I was busy testing and re-
writing. It seems to be working now but I'd like to know
if the problem is due to my code.

Has anyone seen this problem? I'm closing the log after
using it (but I may have been stopping the debugger before
this point).

PS - if someone knows a site that has a full c# listing
for event log handling, I'd like to know.
