Date Ranges

I am building a set of seasonal themed menus for a large portal
application. The menus will change according to seasons. Currently I am
using the DateTime.Compare method, but this seems a little clunky. Can
anybody suggest a possibly more efficient way to determine if a date
falls within a particular season?
