Best list for heirarcal data

I am looking to populate classes (I will have two types of classes,
dimensions & facts) in c# with flat data from a summarized dataset. Based
on what the user wants I will create a hierarchy of the data for the user to
see. Say the user wants a hierarchy of field2, field1, field3. I will have
three instances of my dimension class with each one populated with the
unique values within the fields. My question is: what would be the best list
to "link" the classes so I will know what the value in field2 & field3 for a
particular value in field1? Any books on this topic would also be helpful.

Thanks
