...active schema does not support the element... Bug?

Hi,
Occasionally when I am working on an ASP.Net file in Visual Studio the
editor will place the red "sqiggly" line under one or more of my ASP
controls. Hovering over the control reveals the help text " The active
schema does not support the element '<asp:XXXX>'. The trouble is I know that
the ASP control is valid for my page and the page loads and displays without
error. I notice this issue most often when an ASP control is nested inside
another control like '<asp:placeholder>'. Is this a bug in VisualStudio or
am I improperly nesting my ASP controls?
