Hello Scott,

I've just deleted the originals messages of these threads from my
newsreader. Now you've replied to all three and I have them back again.
Groan!! :-((

You say DO NOT OPEN, but there's nothing *to* open.

FYI these are not viruses. They *were* originally, but the virus code has
been removed which is why they are 14K instead of over 100K. The size is due
to the graphic not any virus code. They are harmless now, except that they
waste space and people's time.

If you are going to respond to these messages, have the decency not to
**include** the message in your response. You are propagating the message as
if you were infected yourself.

Thanks,
On behalf of everyone.

I'm supposed to know what you've deleted from your newsreader and not
respond to those messages?! LOL

You say DO NOT OPEN, but there's nothing *to* open.
Perhaps in YOUR newsreader, but there are attachments to the post in mine.
We don't all use what you are using.

waste space and people's time.
Again, they are not harmless (perhaps to you they are) because the
attachments are still on the post(s)!
If you are going to respond to these messages, have the decency not to
**include** the message in your response. You are propagating the message as if you were infected yourself.
Ok. But I didn't realize this made me an indecent person!

Thanks,
On behalf of everyone.
I'm sorry, I wasn't at the meeting where YOU were elected to speak for
EVERYONE! Clearly, your system is not set up the same way mine is and so
clearly you can't speak for everyone, so please DON'T!

Jeez Scott,
I've just deleted the originals messages of these threads from my
newsreader. Now you've replied to all three and I have them back again.
Groan!! :-((
Let me get this straight...We're all supposed to NOT reply to messages
YOU'VE removed from YOUR newsreader? I'm sorry, I didn't get that memo.

Well now you know - some people delete these posts. You are ADDING to the
problem not solving anything.

---------------------------------------

You say DO NOT OPEN, but there's nothing *to* open.

Perhaps in YOUR newsreader, but in mine these messages contain attachments,
which contain the virus!

FYI etc, etc.

Again, perhaps in YOUR newsreader but not in mine and perhaps other people's
as well.

I use OE 6.0. So do you. I have done nothing to stop attachments. But they are
not there where once they were. I assume MS has done something about them at
last.

Your warning, BTW, is only two weeks or so late.

---------------------------------------
If you are going to respond to these messages, have the decency not to
**include** the message in your response. You are propagating the message

as
if you were infected yourself.

Actually, I'm not. You must open the attachments in order to propagate the
virus, not the message that contains them.

You posted copies of the message. That, by definition, is reproduction.

Ok. But I didn't realize this made me an indecant person!
Maybe 'indecent' is too strong an implication. How about 'thoughtless'? And I
won't imply it - I'll say it directly - because you <didn't> think.

---------------------------------------
Thanks,
On behalf of everyone.

Sorry, I wasn't at the meeting where YOU were elected to speak for EVERYONE.

Over the last couple of weeks there have been plenty of people replying to the
messages to whom the suggestion has been made - don't reply and we can all
ignore them.
---------------------------------------Clearly, your system is not set up the same way mine is and so
clearly you can't speak for everyone, so please DON'T!

I retract that statement 'On behalf of everyone'.

Thanks,
On behalf of everyone who does not see the attachments, and/or those who
delete these messages, and/or anyone who is inconvenienced as much by **your
response** as by the message itself.

It's people like you that make these newsgroups an unfriendly environment.
The simple fact is that if you don't like a post, you are free to ignore it.
The fact that you may have deleted a post and my reply brought it back is
basically your problem. I'm not here (and I suspect many people besides me
as well) to keep your filters working. To even think that we should somehow
know what you've filtered out is ludicrous! Besides, my message was
directed to those who aren't familiar with these posts and who haven't
filtered out these messages because they don't know any better. Your post
is selfish and downright mean.

The purpose of these NG's are to help people. My post does, your post
doesn't. My OE shows the attachments. Are you saying that it's not?! Are
you a fortune teller or a psychic? No, you're not! Stop telling us that
because your system isn't showing the attachment that ours isn't either.
Again, ludicrous!

The only one wasting bandwith here is you. It doesn't matter if you believe
my message is 2 weeks late (which is strange that you would say that because
these posts are from 10/12 and 10/13) and I am trying to help someone who
perhaps has not been personally informed by you of the fraudulent and
malicious nature of these posts.

The bottom line is that my message will help anyone who reads it. You
messages are just you whining. Get over it and get over yourself!
