C# equivalent of MTS??

Excuse my ignorance but...

.... does the the new C#/.NET platform include a direct replacement
for MTS COM objects or NT Service based facilities??

You can create serviced components, which are placed in COM+.

ya look into remoting. it's not a black and white replacement but it
achieves the same functionality
