Problem of text change event in comboboxes with C#

Hi,

I've a form with a combobox in it. I'll check whether the entered
value matches a specific string. I do this in the textchange event
method of the combo. At least every time I change the text the event
occures and the method is called.

But if I change the text (e.g. with backspace) I get the event, but a
readout of the combo.text shows the old value. After the next
backspace (or other changes) I see the right string. How can I fix the
behavior, that the first change cannot be read (detected)?

Any hint or tip or trick ?
