How to pull XML from a CGI web script into a listView

Hello,

Can you help me with this problem?

I have a number of CGI scripts written in Perl that return data in XML
format. When called from Internet Explorer like this,
http://server/scripts/givemexml.pl, IE colour codes the returned XML;
it looks well formed.

I'd like to write a simple Windows Forms app that displays a ListView
in report mode and a button. When the button is pressed, the app
executes the above URL to get the XML data, then for each row of
returned data, creates a row in the list view. A timer on the form
repeats this process, once the button is pressed.

What are the broad steps and classes I need to do this?

There will be framework classes for getting web pages, and the dataset
object looks like another choice.

What further reading should I do; I have access to an extensive
collection of C# books.
