Thread doubt

Hello all,

if(downloadThread.IsAlive)
{
downloadThread.Suspend();
DialogResult ans = MessageBox.Show(
downloadThread.ThreadState.ToString()
,"Application",MessageBoxButtons.OK,MessageBoxIcon .Information);
..........
Though I try to suspend the thread it does not get suspended. And the status
is shown as suspendrequested,WaitSleepJoin. Why is it so? I am downloading
files from a URL, in the thread.

Thanks
Seesharp
