Flucuations in Code Timing.

I wrote simple and identical routines in VB, C++ and C#
all the routines were to execute 2,147,483,520 times.
Each routine was run 20 times. The VB code ranged from
11.56 to 11.63 secs. The C++ code ranged from 6.72 to
6.74 secs. The C# code flucuated significantly. Nine
executions ranged from 6.72 to 7.47 secs, while the
remaining eleven runs were from 10.70 to 11.72 secs.

I was wondering if anyone might know why VB and C++ code
can run in a tight range while C# seems to be fickle?
