reference an assembly in a base class for a custom control

I created a custom control class which inherted from
another control class in C#. The another control
referenced another assembly.

I put the custom control into toolbox and drew it into
a form in .NET window app in C#.

When compiled the window app, I got error that said
I needed to reference an assembly referenced in the base
class.

I did reference the assembly in the window app it works.

My question is there is anything that I can do in my
custome control so that I don't need to reference an
assembly referenced in base class when using the custome
control?

Thanks.
