Using a check box in a datagrid

I have a boolean field tied to a datagrid, which is
represented in the grid by a checkbox. To select the
checkbox however, the user has to click on the field
twice, once to select the field, and then again to mark
the box. Is there a way to make the checkbox select
without having to select the field first?

Thanks in advance.
