...what version of Visual Studio was used to compile a particular DLL?
If you use ILDASM to examine the contents of the DLL, you will see the
version of the Framework libraries that it is referencing. This should give
you a good idea of the version of Visual Studio that was used. However, the
DLL could have been built without Visual Studio (for instance, by means of
the CSC compiler), or it could have been built with Visual Studio 2008 which
is able to target different versions of the Framework.

Rather than me explain the problem, read this exchange of emails between my web host and myself, then tell me what I can tell them! I had a problem with their admin site all day, and after me saying "can't log in", and them saying "nothing wrong", I sent the following: ------------------------------------------------------ > Found it! Tried it with 3 browsers now (IE, Opera, Firefox), and the > result is that I've just discovered a...

Hi all: I am new to Python, and this is my first post (and it won't be my last!), so HELLO EVERYONE!! I am attempting to use "xreadlines", an outer loop and an inner loop in conjunction with "file.tell() and file.seek() in order to navigate through a file in order to print specific lines (for example, every 5th line). Allow me to illustrate by example:

Hello everyone, I noticed that when you open a zipped tarball using 'tarfile' and if you then get the pseudo-file descriptor fd for a file via 'extractfile', then fd.tell() is broken in the following way: - before reading anything from fd, fd.tell() will return 0 (that's still ok) - after reading a line via fd.readline(), fd.tell() will return a value different from 0 (still ok, I guess)

Hi All - I'm using the new UrlMappings feature in an ASP.NET 2.0 application. I'm using the unique urls, mapped to shared files, in the site map. So for example, I have pages A, B, & C...all of which direct to a subpage, D. The sitemap requires URLs to be unique, so to make sure the navigation works, I've mapped AD, BD, & CD to D using the urlMappings section in the web.config file. So that all works fine an dandy. Now I'm working on...

Hi - I have a button that runs 2 reports. If there is no data on the report, I use the No Data event, and tell the user, and Cancel the execution of that report. However, if the first report has no data, the second report doesn't run. All execution stops. Is there a way in VBA to go on to the next report after the No Data?

I was trying to map various locations in a file to a dictionary. At first I read through the file using a for-loop, but tell() gave back weird results, so I switched to while, then it worked. The for-loop version was something like: d = {} for line in f: if line.startswith('>'): d = f.tell() And the while version was:

Hello folks, I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>". The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed. This is as boiled down as I can make it. Here is my compilation command: g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp Here is the code in...

Dear forum friends, With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own.... Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...

Hello I'm a network technician in training and I need your help. I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs. The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols. I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
